We spent the evening shopping in Disney Springs.
Dinner at the most awesome themed restaurant EVER! Can't wait to bring more people here.
Dessert at Goofy's Candy Co. We designed our own dipped apple to split - caramel, milk chocolate, almonds, and coconut.
Hanging out with the Zoerners. We brought a few easy to carry games with us to play on the planes or on our layovers. We brought them out and became a bit obsessed with teaching these games to a new audience (what? who? me?). We hit up a few local stores for 6 more games we already have at home. We played: Trash Pandas, Inoka, Unstable Unicorns, Sparkle Kitty, Cobra Paw, Fluxx, Sushi Go!, and Pass the Pandas. What a blast!
We sent Unstable Unicorns and Sparkle Kitty home to California with Mahri. Cobra Paw, Star Trek Fluxx, Sushi Go!, and Pass the Pandas stayed in Florida. Hopefully, they will all find more people to play with and be ready for Round 2 next time we come around!
Grandma Dottie has joined Grandpa Bill. We lost Grandpa Bill in 2017. I have joy knowing they are together again.
Jeremy and I took a somewhat unexpected trip to Florida to attend the funeral and be there for the family. It was a beautiful service. She was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by many.
Jeremy is moving across the street to the new 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade intermediate school. They will not have assigned classrooms as in traditional schools, but will travel to different rooms based on what they need to teach that day. There are science labs, an outdoor classroom, and an indoor slide. The teachers desks are housed in groups of five in large communal offices. Here is how we've decorated Jeremy's section so far. He will be teaching 4th and 5th grade science.
Our favorite swimming spot in Texas - The Blue Hole.
We couldn't leave this part of Texas without a stop at Jeremy's favorite BBQ place - Salt Lick.
We spent all day at Schlitterbahn Water Park. Our favorite ride was "The Falls".
Late night dinner at Gumby's Pizza. This place is open until 4 a.m. Great pizza and local root beer. I imagine this place is usually packed with college kids during the school year.
Celebrating our anniversary in one of our favorite spots, San Marcos.
While driving down to San Marcos, we found a make your own ice cream sandwich bar!
Once we got to San Marcos, we hustled around the city to find the all the mermaid statues. We challenged ourselves to find them all before sunset and had to take selfies with each of them. We found all but one that had been removed for construction.
Dinner at AquaBrew - local restaurant and brewery. Excellent food!
Another teacher was getting rid of this giant spool and one fo our neighbors at our apartment was throwing out these awesome chairs. Add a little (or a lot) of cut up fabric and now I have a new seating area in my classroom!
I took Mom to Deep Ellum to Oni Ramen for her first bowl of real ramen. We rode the train down to Check out the art installation "Rainbow Vomit" and had lunch here afterward. Jeremy had been wanting to go to Oni Ramen for awhile, so I ended up riding the train again later that even to take Jeremy for dinner.
