We set up our booth in the elementary school's gym for the PTA's 1st annual "Sunnyvale Winter Craft Fair".
It took over 5 days of constant printing to make all the intricate and moving parts. It was quite a learning process to make all the different size pieces fit, but the finished product it very impressive!
Donnie, Jessie, Hunter, and Fisher stopped at our house for the night on the way to Corpus Christi. Hunter and I played all the games we could and they we painted!
The family that crafts together, stays together. Jeremy started using his GlowForge to make wood earrings for his coworkers. We soon started working together and expanded to necklaces, bracelets, and keychains. We now have a little shop set up at each of schools to help our co-workers find gifts for their friends and families.
*See more photos under "Our Pictures". Jeremy is moving across the street to the new 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade intermediate school. They will not have assigned classrooms as in traditional schools, but will travel to different rooms based on what they need to teach that day. There are science labs, an outdoor classroom, and an indoor slide. The teachers desks are housed in groups of five in large communal offices. Here is how we've decorated Jeremy's section so far. He will be teaching 4th and 5th grade science.
Another teacher was getting rid of this giant spool and one fo our neighbors at our apartment was throwing out these awesome chairs. Add a little (or a lot) of cut up fabric and now I have a new seating area in my classroom!
