We are having a great time staying home, playing with Daisy, getting pedicures, playing board games, and making gingerbread.
*See more pictures from our week under "Our Pictures". It is a tradition to spend "Christmas" with my Mom doing something special. Today we started our day by riding the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad Holiday Train (*think "Polar Express" without the licensing). Then we went back to Mom's house for an amazing lunch. After a quick change into 'fancy clothes' for the theatre, we headed to Fort Smith to watch the Nutcracker Ballet. Overall, a fantastic day for all!
*See more pictures from the "A&M Holiday Train" under "Our Pictures" I finally got to experience Yayoi Kusama's mirrored room "My Heart is Dancing Into the Universe" at Crystal Bridges in Arkansas. It was amazing and everthing I was hoping for. Her art is beautiful and her story is very touching.
Note: We were hoping to go on a previous trip, but it had not opened yet when we were at Crystal Bridges. We had also tried to go to one of Yayoi Kusama's installations in Japan in 2020, but that was closed, too. *I am looking forward to a world where these closures are much more rare. *See more pics from our trip to Crystal Bridges under "Our Pictures". We set up our booth in the elementary school's gym for the PTA's 1st annual "Sunnyvale Winter Craft Fair".
One of my former students came all the way to Dallas from New York to visit!! We got to hang out with her and her long time boyfriend. What a special day.
