Our school uses a professional book called "Teach Like a Pirate". The idea is that teachers are encouraged to 'think outside the box' or worksheet and be creative with their educational activities. i.e.: play dough, slime, etc. I usually do go beyond the typical music class logic, so for our official 'pirate day', I went full pirate theme.
One of the teachers at Sunnyvale (SES) has season tickets to the Baylor games in Waco, but was not able to attend this one game. She very graciously offered the tickets to Jeremy, knowing he is an OU fan. What an experience! The stadium is beautiful and the game was intense! It was a much better match up than anyone could have predicted.
*See more pictures under "Our Pictures". One of my favorite traditions! I loved making our homecoming mums! I thinning Jeremy really enjoyed his, too!

We weren't able to keep our hedgehogs with us during this unusual transition to becoming Texas residents. We had asked my brother to find new homes for them, but instead he bread them himself. A few days ago he welcomed a pair of twins the larger one is about the size of the upper portion of my thumb and the smaller one is the size of the upper portion of my ring finger.
*Update: This little family has not had very good luck. Our boy hedgehog (Pip) passed away and neither baby was able to make it. Squeak is all alone now. One of the best men I've ever know has left this world.
Goodbye, Grandpa. I'll see you when I get there. |
