Sunnyvale Elementary's Character Day. The Stouts as The Mouse from "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie" and Percy Jackson from "The Lightning Thief".
I have been wanting a message for my door and this is it! I ordered both of these drums at the end of April last semester. I like to get authentic drums when I can so, I deal with a small company out of New Orleans who gets these from Thailand. There was a shipping issue from Thailand to New Orleans. I received the first drum in a few days, as expected. The second drum I got today (August 24th). Apparently, Customs stopped the second shipment and returned it twice! Oh, well. At least I have them now.
Here we go again. The day has come. We are teaching once again. This year's theme: "Get Your GLOW On". We even handed out glow bracelets to all the kids as they arrived today.

The district provided breakfast and them awarded SEF grants from last spring's submissions. Jeremy received 2! One her was pretty sure of, but the other was a complete shock! Now he is going to be very busy this year with both a Lego Robotics club and a Drone club.
One of the last science units Jeremy taught last semester was about growing plants from seed. They planted their vegetables before setting out for the summer. We have been checking on the sprouts a bout every two weeks and they have been making good progress.

These bunnies actually give change and your receipt. Waiting out the rain at Blue Spring when Mom and John came for a visit. Christ of the Ozarks (or the very rare "selfie with Jesus") The beautiful Thorncrown Chapel
