Masks have become a 'thing' in Texas. Some people are fighting the idea of being 'forced' to wear a mask to go into stores and posting really dumb stuff on social media about it, but I personally welcome this change to keep everyone safe.
My sister's daughter, Lily was CareFlighted off Kodiak Island to Anchorage, AK, where she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes like me. This is going to be a hard fight, but she is a strong girl!
*She was released on 4/24 and headed back to Kodiak. One of our friends has decided to retire from teaching before next school year, so we have taken in her class pet, Myrtle the Turtle. She lives in apartment for now, but will move to Jeremy's classroom next school year.
It took a few weeks, but my "green screen studio" has arrived! Now we look like a professional operation making our teaching videos for our students each week. We move out the couch and record the following week's videos each Wednesday.
Jennie sent us all copies of the party game, "Watch Ya Mouth" and we played together over FaceTime. Hilarious!
The state of Texas is mostly closed -no theaters, schools, churches, most stores, etc. Grocery stores and some take out is still available. It is easy to forget that life is still going on outside...
