Schools are still closed. The temps are still frigid for Texas. The power grid is experiencing rolling blackouts and people are freezing. BUT... Daisy is loving snow and for now - we are OKAY!!
The state of Texas is frozen and the schools are closed. What shall we do celebrate romance during this time of rolling blackouts and and potential frostbite? Legos of course! I bought this set for Jeremy for Christmas, but we have not had the time to sit down and complete it - until now.
*This is a from a selfie we took on the top of the castle in Odawara, Japan. You can see the ocean in the background.
The time has come. I have switched back to t:slim. Medtronic is great for most people, but I find the t:slim algorithm is more effective for me.
Plus, now my niece and I are on the same type of pump. Type 1 Twins!!
Another Kickstarter we have been waiting a year for is finally here!!. (Delays. Delays.) Jeremy has been SO excited for this! Okay gamers, if you come for a visit - guess what you're going to play? (Or guess what I am going to be playing for awhile...)
The weather has been a bit weird. First snow in Texas, then storms that knocked out the power in our area for awhile. Most of the electronics made it thru just fine, but not the fridge. After moving all the food to the old barn fridge for a week. (It's probably close to as old as I am.) We were finally able to track down a fridge we could kind of afford with a delivery time within the next week. Shortages have even affected the ability to get appliances delivered!! We were hard pressed to find one with a delivery time within a month!!
Ultimately, we found one in the North Dallas Metro that we could get delivered early the next week. We had to take some time off work to coordinate the delivery.
